Health Educator

Position Summary
Pinnacle Hospice Care is seeking a Health Educator to assess patient and community education needs and develop health educational programs that support the organization’s hospice services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Assess the educational needs of patients, families, and caregivers
• Develop, implement, and evaluate health education programs and materials
• Design and deliver training content related to hospice care, disease processes, and end-of-life care topics
• Collaborate with clinical staff (nursing, social work, chaplaincy) to align educational content with patient care plans
• Create printed and digital educational resources for patients, families, and staff
• Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and revise as needed
• Stay current on best practices in health education and hospice/palliative care
• Ensure all materials comply with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required (Health Education, Public Health, or related field preferred)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to assess learning needs across diverse populations
• Experience developing educational content (healthcare setting preferred)
• Proficiency with standard office/presentation software
